Baptiste Paul Grimaud -- French Aluette deck
This colorful 48-card alouette deck was produced by Baptiste Paul Grimaud, from France. This company has been in the playing card business since 1848. This deck is also known as "La Vache" (The Cow), because of a cow on the back design and on the two of cups, and is relatively uncommon except in the North and Western part of France, and is almost impossible to find anywhere outside of France. Aluette is a French game in which cheating is allowed under certain "regulations". It is a trick game with a code system for telling your partner what trump and high cards you have (you try to do this without being noticed by your opponents, which makes it even more challenging).
