This bridge-size deck is made by Ferd. Piatnik & Söhne, the leading Austrian manufacturer from Vienna. The cards were designed by Donald Burton; actor who was involved in the great cycle of history play, The War of the Roses, presented by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Great Britain. He has preserved many of his most vivid impressions of that production in his portrayal of the figures on the twelve court cards.
